Hi, I’m Krista. The writer and founder behind KC Creative Studio.

Based in Utah, I’m surrounded by mountain peaks that inspire and heal me every day. I share a cozy home with my fiancé, our three dogs, and way too many houseplants.

I was an imaginative child. I created stories and lived inside of them. Invented entire worlds and ran head first into them. I stayed up hours past my bedtime, immersing myself into book after book after book. I became part of the stories, falling in love with their heroes and getting my heart broken alongside them.

I remember other kids fidgeting while I sat still. I remember stapling printer paper into books and filling the pages with the stories inside my head. I don’t remember any of the plots now—but I know what writing them did for me. It set me free.

I remember the moment I decided to be a writer.

As if it was ever really a choice.

While most of my friends and peers pursued degrees in business and marketing, I knew I wanted to study English. I wanted, needed, to write. I graduated from college in 2019—ready to take on the world and write for the rest of my life.

And then the pandemic hit.

Like so many of us, my dreams froze over while I survived some of the most traumatic years of my life. I won’t get into it here, but it wasn’t exactly the right time to build a writing career.

Years later, the call to write returned. I saw the online world shifting in a way that broke my heart. AI generated content was taking over—replacing the authenticity and magic of the human voice with a generic and hollow tone.

That’s how KC Creative Studio was born.

If you’re looking for a quick fix, a hack to go viral, or simply words to fill in your online space—I’m not the writer for you. And that’s okay.
